Ciaran qualified from the Technological University Dublin and Trinity College Dublin in 1996 and became a Member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland in 1999. Following four years with Scott Tallon Walker Architects and six years with O’Mahony Pike Architects he founded Hussey Architects in 2009. Ciaran’s experience with STW and OMP on large scale projects was invaluable in the firm’s development. Under Ciaran's leadership the firm has grown to specialise in healthcare, hospitality and large scale residential developments.
He completed a post graduate diploma in Construction Law at Trinity College Dublin in 2019. He is an accredited Mediator with CEDR UK - the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution since 2020. In 2025 he began lecturing and tutoring on the Professional Practice Examination course run by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
